Our Founder

Olivier Fischer, PhD, founded Cincinnati-based Ubelix to fill a market need for copy management, translation and localization capabilities within the packaging design industry. Olivier brings to Ubelix more than 20 years of experience in information systems. He was one the co-founders of Planetfeedback, a company recently acquired by Nielsen BuzzMetrics. He has managed the design and technical aspects of Internet launches of major brands at Procter & Gamble, including Olay, Febreze, Swiffer, Jif, and Fixodent. Olivier has also taught system design and analysis, including data modeling using Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools at the College of Engineering at The Ohio State University. In 2005 Dr. Fischer won an Emerging Technology Award from the Governor of the state of Ohio in 2005 ” recognizing his valuable progress in either advancing existing technologies or pursuing cutting-edge, emerging technological developments.” for the technologies now at the heart of Ubelix.
