Do you struggle to maintain the integrity and accuracy of text copy within your global design efforts?  Have you ever experienced any of the following?

  • Hundreds of thousands of dollars in printing costs, and landfill charges
caused by copy mishaps in your Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) innitiative.
  • Discrepancies between the final client-approved copy and the copy on
    the actual in-store product.
  • Painstakingly manually generated copy sheets...that are wrong.
  • Total redesigns caused by late coming translations that are too long to fit.
  • Finger pointing client meetings following a quality incident.

For five years I worked at Procter & Gamble and saw countless episodes when the process of managing copy impeded timelines or resulted in costly errors. Inspired by the opportunity to solve this problem, I created a software solution called Ubelix that plugs directly into the Adobe® Illustrator® that you and your designers use every day, and that helps you mamage this dynamic content.

Ubelix is the second generation in a family of software we have been developping for the last seven years around managing text, inlcuding multilingual copy, in Illustrator files. Our first generation software, developed in collaboration with Trados, is currently in use in 23 countries around the world, by companies such as Microsoft, L10Bridge, Xerox, and Nintendo.
