Graphical User Interface (GUI) Design is the art of making software, inlcuding web sites, intuitive, and easy to use. Some basic principles: the user should always be given feedback on what they are doing, where they are in the process, and where to find the information they are looking for.

A significant part of making a web site, and software in general, intuitive and usable lies in the quality of its graphic design. Graphic design also often plays an additional role in branding. Skinning of Web Environments

We understand both software and design. Understanding software means we can develop complex software applications for our clients. It also means we can tell them when an off-the-shelf sofware package will do the job. Modern software usually allows for customization, and in particular for "skinning", the process by which an organization can apply its own branding to off-the-shelf software. We have provided this service to many of our clients, on a variety of sotware platforms ranging from Microsoft Sharepoint, to e-commerce engine, to open source content management systems, and blogs.

Flash Animation

Some people like to use Flash because it allows them to make stuff move around the screen. These people are probably the same who, a few years ago, covered their web pages with animated gifs :-) Flash, as a interactive medium, has some unique advantages which drive us to sometimes select it as the tool of choice. Its two main advantages are the fact that it is one of the best ways to enable interactivity in general, and drag and drop in particular, on the Web, and that it provides interactive designers with very tight control over motion, and pacing effects in web-based animations. The examples below, especially demonstrate how Flash can really add to the impact and delivery of the client objectives, and to the user experience on the web.
